Root Farm relies on many, many  very hard-working volunteers who, along with the equines, are devoted to encouraging a healing  relationship between handicapped individuals and animals. Some arrive at the farm with the desire to help handicapped children and adults. Some come because they love horses. Others show up just to get away from the rat race of their professional lives.

Whatever the reason they come, we see them leave with a sense of the profound healing affect when people and horses come together -- and it's not only the participants who benefit -- often volunters get as much or more out of the experiences as those who come to the farm for treatment!

Please come be part of our family -- you will never be sorry!
