Designed for special needs adolescents and adults.

Participants are exposed to all aspects of the care and handling of horses, from the ground up, and sessions are individualized according to need.

Root Farm is involved with numerous organizations fostering the well being of youth and adults with challenging life circumstances. Depending on the weather and energy levels, we clean stalls, wash buckets, rake the arena, do barrel exercises, vault on the horse, do some adaptive riding, or harness up and go for a drive in the carriage.

There is  always something that will engage the attention, motivate exercise and teach new skills. The barn and the horses provide an extraoridinary environment for well being and education.

Root Farm's neighbors, Tom and Bonnie Croft, come over with their mules and wagon sometimes on nice days and give rides to our paarticipants. What a treat!
